Pre & Post -Treatment Care

Pre-Treatment Preparation

Avoid the Sun

When you decide to get laser hair removal, stay indoors for 10 days before and after the treatment. This will allow the machine to target melanin in your skin effectively. For the same reason, avoid bleaching.

Avoid Alternative Hair Removal Techniques

NO depilatory creams, waxing or plucking for 10 days before the treatment. However, you can shave in between the sessions.

Arrive Prepared for the Treatment

Shave and clean the treatment area before your appointment. Remove any baby hairs. The site should be free of makeup, sunscreen, and moisturizer.

Post-Treatment Care

Stay Indoors for 2 Days

The first 48 hours after the treatment are crucial. Avoid direct sunlight and try to remain indoors. If you must run for an emergency errand, wear SPF 30 sunscreen.

Don’t Take Anything for Hyperpigmentation

Hyperpigmentation causes patches on the skin, some of which are light and others dark. This side effect is temporary and will go away on its own in 6 months.

Take Care of Whiteheads

Laser hair removal might cause mild folliculitis (whiteheads). Apply any over-the-counter acne cream or dab a little alcohol on them. They will go away in 2 to 3 days.
